Transportation to Chile is mainly via airplane to the airport in Santiago, the capital.
Transportation from Santiago to Viña del Mar is through ground transportation, car or bus, taking a little over an hour. (Airplane transportation is only available during the high season during the summer).
All hotels are close to the Conference site and therefore walking is recommended to the site.
Step 1. From the Airport in Santiago to the Bus Terminal
Transportation from the airport to the Metro Terminal "Estación Pajaritos" can be through public transportation (the metro station is from where buses to Viña leave). There are two alternative services: TurBus o CentroPuerto. The cost is between $1400 (CL) and $1800 (CLP) aprox.
Step 2. From the Bus Terminal to Viña del Mar
When buying the ticket from Santiago to Viña del Mar, make sure you buy a ticket for the bus that goes via Agua Santa, which takes about 30 min. less than the alternate route via Las Palmas.
From the Bus Terminal in Viña del Mar, a taxi to the hotel will cost approx. $3,000 (CLP).
